On Wednesday, 28th August, 26 of our talented athletes from both the International and Japanese Divisions proudly represented SJIS at the 2024 IPSHA Athletics Carnival, held at Homebush Athletics Centre. Competing against some of Sydney\u2019s best private school athletes, our students embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, pride, and true sportsmanship. Each of them served as perfect ambassadors for SJIS, cheering one another on throughout the day.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Before the day, we spoke about the importance of striving for personal bests, and we\u2019re thrilled to share that 19 of our athletes achieved better results than at our school IPSHA Trials\u2014a fantastic accomplishment! A special mention to Emily, who finished 2nd overall in the 9 years girls 100m, out of 104 competitors.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

With 56 schools competing, 1589 individual competitors, it was a day filled with energy and excitement. We\u2019re incredibly proud of our students for their dedication and achievements. Well done, SJIS!<\/div>\n
