16 October was World Food Day, designated by the United Nations, this day reminds us to reflect on global food issues and what we can do to make a difference.<\/div>\n
This year, SJIS again had the opportunity to think about world food issues. We also thought about what each of us can do.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u30fbDo not leave food behind because you do not like it.<\/div>\n
\u30fbWe should not waste food.<\/div>\n
\u30fbEven misshapen vegetables taste the same. I will try to use vegetables from the odd bunch in the supermarket.<\/div>\n
\u30fbDon’t be greedy and selfish.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Our students shared wonderful ideas, and one meaningful action we took together was participating in Onigiri Action! \u304a\u306b\u304e\u308a\u30a2\u30af\u30b7\u30e7\u30f3<\/span><\/a><\/span> @tablefor2_official<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n
“Individually, our power may seem small, but together, we can create big change. Let\u2019s make tomorrow better than today.”<\/div>\n
With this idea of Onigiri Action in mind, the students made Onigiri in the Japanese Language Department classes, posted photos and enjoyed the Onigiri they had made.<\/div>\n
