One School, Two Curriculums Leading to the Future
Tradition, Honour, Respect
At SJIS, we believe that teaching our children from a young age to think from an international perspective, beyond their local environment, is key to developing the leaders of tomorrow. Japanese culture in particular is built on the pillars of respect, patience and the consideration of an individual’s impact on their community and personal aspirations.
We are the only school of its kind in Australia offering a bilingual education, with a choice of two curriculums, in a bicultural learning environment. We offer families an opportunity for their children to evolve as global citizens of the world in a caring and trusted environment.
Local students of all nationalities, can study the full NSW curriculum taught in English-speaking classes.
Australian curriculum studies are further supported by Japanese language classes, and the opportunity to interact in a bilingual environment in some subjects such as arts, music and physical education. The SJIS experience equips students with an international perspective that enables them to adapt and thrive in future learning environments such as private schooling, senior schooling and university.
