The service was led by our Year 6 students and began at 11 am.

They shared thoughtful reflections about what happened in the past, remembered those who lost their lives in war, and expressed gratitude for the peace we enjoy today.

It was a meaningful moment for our whole school community to pause and reflect on the importance of peace.

At the same time, Ms.Abraham and our School Captains attended the Remembrance Day Ceremony at Terrey Hills and gave a speech expressing their commitment to peace.

今日、11月11日は第一次世界大戦の終戦記念日（リメンブランス・デー）です。

本校ではホールにてリメンブランス・デー・サービスを行い、児童生徒・教職員が赤いポピーの花を胸につけて式典に参加しました。

式典は6年生が主導で行い、*午前11時にスタートしました。

6年生たちは、過去に起きた出来事や戦争で命を落とした方々への思い、そして今の平和への感謝を自分たちの言葉で読み上げました。

静かな時間の中で、全員が改めて「平和の大切さ」を感じるひとときとなりました。

また、同じ時間、Ms. Abrahamとスクールキャプテンの二人はテリーヒルズで行われた終戦記念日式典に参加し、平和への思いをスピーチしました。

*1918年11月11日午前11時に、第一次世界大戦の連合国とドイツの間で休戦協定が発効し、「11月11日11時」が象徴的な時間となり、オーストラリアを含む多くの英連邦諸国（イギリス、カナダ、ニュージーランドなど）では、この時刻に追悼式を行います。
