SJIS students wear their uniforms with great pride and understand that the colours reflect an important message of unity. The uniform is based around a colour palette of red and navy blue. Red is the main colour of the Japanese flag, while navy is the main colour of the Australian flag. Used in combination, this is a visual reinforcement of the coming together of the two cultures.

In 2017, both the girls’ primary school and high school uniforms were redesigned and updated. A new PE uniform was also introduced.

All uniform items (except for shoes and socks) can be purchased at the uniform shop conveniently located in our school reception area during school hours.
