Today our school community came together to celebrate Harmony Day — a little later than the official March date, but just as meaningful. Students proudly wore their national costumes or something orange to symbolise inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all. Each class took part in activities that highlighted the beauty of our cultural diversity and the importance of living in harmony. It was a joyful reminder of what makes SJIS such a vibrant and welcoming community. We are proud to be a school where differences are not just accepted but celebrated.
本日、私たちSJISのスクールコミュニティは、少し遅れてではありますが、心をひとつにしてハーモニーデーをお祝いしました。子どもたちは、それぞれの民族衣装や「多様性・尊重・一体感」を象徴するオレンジ色の服を誇らしげに身にまとい、笑顔で登校してくれました。各クラスでは、文化の多様性の美しさや、調和のとれた共生の大切さをテーマにしたさまざまなアクティビティが行われ、学校中が温かな雰囲気に包まれました。
SJISが、世界中の違いを受け入れるだけでなく、それぞれの個性や背景を大切にし、共に喜び合える場所であることを、改めて感じる一日となりました。私たちは、そんな学校であることを誇りに思っています。
