Global Learning – Japanese Division
Our Japanese Division students had an exciting time last week exploring global connections! Our Year 6 class became young ambassadors for Australia, sharing their research on local culture, wildlife, and landmarks with a primary school in Hachijo-jima, Tokyo, through a lively online exchange. It was wonderful to see them celebrate their home in Sydney while strengthening their ties with students in Japan.
We also welcomed the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) for an inspiring lesson on how finance connects Japan with the world. Our students engaged with industry professionals to learn about international cooperation and the global economy, gaining a firsthand look at how their studies apply to the real world. A big thank you to our community partners for helping us nurture the next generation of global citizens!

Name

The Sydney Japanese International School acknowledges the Garigal people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which our school is located. We pay our respects to their ancestors and descendants who continue cultural and spiritual connections to Country. We recognise that these lands have always been places of teaching, learning and storytelling. May the spirit of the Garigal people always be present with us under the shade of the beautiful trees across our campus, when we hear the sounds of nature and feel the sun and ocean breeze on our skin, and as we grow, play, learn and connect.
