Today marked the exciting start of our mixed coding program for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6! Under the guidance of Mrs V (K–2) and Mr C (Years 3–6), with wonderful support from our Japanese teachers, students dove into hands-on, future-focused learning.
Kindy to Year 2 are exploring Scratch, developing their computational thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and creative expression.
Years 3 and 4 are working with Spheros, bringing STEM concepts, coding skills, and resilience to life through interactive play and discovery.
Years 5 and 6 have taken to the skies—learning to navigate drones and exploring how they can be used in education for data collection, geospatial mapping, and understanding aerodynamics.At SJIS, we’re proud to inspire curiosity and innovation from an early age!
本日より、キンダーガーテンから小学6年生までの全学年で、待望のプログラミング授業がスタートしました！K〜2年生はMrs V先生が、3〜6年生はMr C先生がリードし、日本人の先生方もサポートに入りながら、楽しく学びを進めています。
K〜2年生はScratch（スクラッチ）を使って、論理的思考力（コンピュテーショナル・シンキング）や問題解決力、協働性、そして自己表現力を育んでいます。 3・4年生はSphero（スフィロ）を活用し、STEM教育とプログラミングスキル、そして粘り強さ（レジリエンス）を楽しみながら身につけています。 5・6年生はドローンの操作を学び、データ収集、地理空間マッピング、空気力学など、教育におけるドローンの多彩な活用法を探究しています。SJISでは、幼い頃から好奇心と革新の心を育てる教育を大切にしています！
