School Leaders Day
On Tuesday, 20th May, the Year 6 school captains from both divisions, accompanied by Ms Abraham, visited the Parliament of New South Wales in the city.
Our school captain Wenja told us that during the visit, the school captains learned about the parliamentary system of government in NSW. They had the opportunity to meet Ms Jacqui Scruby @jacquiscrubyindependent the Member of Parliament for the Pittwater area. Ms Scruby spoke about her role in identifying issues within the Pittwater community and working to propose and report solutions.
It was a valuable and enriching learning experience for all of us.

Name

The Sydney Japanese International School acknowledges the Garigal people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which our school is located. We pay our respects to their ancestors and descendants who continue cultural and spiritual connections to Country. We recognise that these lands have always been places of teaching, learning and storytelling. May the spirit of the Garigal people always be present with us under the shade of the beautiful trees across our campus, when we hear the sounds of nature and feel the sun and ocean breeze on our skin, and as we grow, play, learn and connect.
