A very warm welcome back to all our families as we begin an exciting new chapter at SJIS. Today marked a wonderful double celebration as our International Division returned for Term 2 and our Japanese Division officially kicked off their new school year. We were delighted to welcome five new teachers and many new students into our unique community where Australian and Japanese cultures truly thrive together. During the assembly, our Principal shared the meaningful concept of 「十人十色Junin Toiro」, reminding us all that it takes many different perspectives and talents to make our world beautiful. We also celebrated our newest Year 1 and Year 7 students during their Entrance Ceremony, marking a proud milestone for these young learners. We are so happy to have everyone back on campus and look forward to a term filled with growth, friendship, and shared achievements.
SJISのキャンパスに、活気あふれる元気な声が戻ってきました。今日は国際学級のターム２開始と、日本人学級の始業式・入学式が重なる、お祝いムードいっぱいの1日となりました。日本から着任した4名の先生と国際学級の新任教員1名、そして多くの新しい仲間を迎え、SJISの絆がさらに深まったことを誇らしく思います。始業式では校長先生から、一人ひとりの個性を尊重し合う「十人十色」の大切さについてお話がありました。新1年生と新中学1年生の入学式も執り行われ、これから始まる新しい生活への期待に胸を膨らませている様子がとても印象的でした。今年度も、保護者の皆様や地域の方々と手を取り合い、子どもたちの成長を温かく見守っていきたいと思います。新学期もどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
