Celebrating our 55th Foundation Day!
Celebrating a significant milestone today as we mark the 55th Foundation Day of Sydney Japanese International School! Founded in May 1969 by the Japanese Society of Sydney, our journey began on a humble church site in Lindfield with just 33 students. We located to our current campus in Terrey Hills in 1971 to accommodate our expanding community. Our International Division was established in 1975, aligning with the Australian curriculum to provide a holistic educational experience. Today, we proudly uphold our commitment to nurturing students in a multicultural environment that embraces both Japanese and Australian cultures. Here’s to 55 years of excellence, growth, and cherished memories!

Name

The Sydney Japanese International School acknowledges the Garigal people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which our school is located. We pay our respects to their ancestors and descendants who continue cultural and spiritual connections to Country. We recognise that these lands have always been places of teaching, learning and storytelling. May the spirit of the Garigal people always be present with us under the shade of the beautiful trees across our campus, when we hear the sounds of nature and feel the sun and ocean breeze on our skin, and as we grow, play, learn and connect.
