Closing Ceremony of this term
Last Friday marked the final day of this term.
At the closing ceremony, Academic report were handed out to Japanese Division students, and awards were presented for Open Day volunteers, the IPSHA Art Prize, as well as the program design for the School Concert.
Last Thursday, we also held a farewell assembly for Ms. Hanaoka, who has dedicated 38 years to teaching in the International Division Japanese Language Department. Last Friday was her final teaching day, and she will be on Long Service Leave until March next year. With words of gratitude from the students and under her direction, everyone sang our school song “Our Treasure” together.
With the smiles of our students, we were able to bring this term to a wonderful close.
Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable holiday, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next term!

Name

The Sydney Japanese International School acknowledges the Garigal people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which our school is located. We pay our respects to their ancestors and descendants who continue cultural and spiritual connections to Country. We recognise that these lands have always been places of teaching, learning and storytelling. May the spirit of the Garigal people always be present with us under the shade of the beautiful trees across our campus, when we hear the sounds of nature and feel the sun and ocean breeze on our skin, and as we grow, play, learn and connect.
