Whole School Assembly
We are so proud of our swimmers for their amazing first effort at the IPSHA swim meet! Congratulations to our four swimmers!
We are also raising funds to plant a cherry blossom tree in Cowra, NSW, a site of historical significance and a symbol of peace and reconciliation. Sakura Avenue, linking the Japanese Gardens with the site of the former POW camp, is lined with cherry trees sponsored by Japanese businesses and Australian schools. With the support of our school community, SJIS will have its own tree and commemorative plaque.
If you’d like to contribute, please visit the Flexischools app and search for Cherry Blossom Fundraiser before Friday, 14 March. Don’t forget to check out your cart to complete the donation.
Thank you for your support!

Name

The Sydney Japanese International School acknowledges the Garigal people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which our school is located. We pay our respects to their ancestors and descendants who continue cultural and spiritual connections to Country. We recognise that these lands have always been places of teaching, learning and storytelling. May the spirit of the Garigal people always be present with us under the shade of the beautiful trees across our campus, when we hear the sounds of nature and feel the sun and ocean breeze on our skin, and as we grow, play, learn and connect.
